“ These were engineered and created by Dave Segerson and his team at American Green Lights. I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I was with
Dave and his company on this project we did with Kreykes Electric. From the initial job-walk until final delivery, they exceeded all expectations to
Kreykes and the end customer.”                                                                                    ---John (Johnny) Sebek, Account Executive | Brook Electrical Supply

"From our initial site visit to the final walk thru after completion, it was a pleasure to work together on this project. Our customer, School District
205, was pleased with the retrofit cost savings verses new replacement fixtures. The installation went smoothly and the product has performed well.
We were blown away by the even and clean light output from the LED retrofit that American Green Lights provided. We look forward to working
together again."                                                                                                                             ----Jim Kreykes, Vice President | Kreykes Electric Inc.

“As the design firm, we were struggling to find a LED light fixture that was rated for a pool environment. The retrofit option that Dave and the
American Green Lights team presented was not only a great idea to maintain the fixture housing, but the quality of light and energy savings was
more than I expected. Myself and my client were very pleased with the outcome of this light replacement.”

Versafit Custom LED Retrofit

Convert 960 Watt Metal Halide to 240 Watts LED

BEFORE

Our client came to us with a problem:  The lighting was so poor in their swimming pool facility so they could not host major competition events in their location.  They wanted to maintain the architectural look of the original facility, but needed to solve the problem.

The original fixtures used two 400 watt metal halide lamps.  After the ballast was considered, each fixture consumed 960 watts of electricity.  Based on the original fixture design, American Green Lights determined that most of the light output of the lamps was trapped inside the fixture, bouncing around inside and never reaching the ceiling.  Also, the high lumen degradation rate of Metal Halide caused high wattage usage with little light output.  To make matters worse, the color shift of the metal halide lights over time produced a green light hue from some fixtures and orange from others, instead of a white light.

We received a sample fixture from the client, hand made a prototype to test for light output and fit, testing also for LED temperature to assure any retrofit would have the lifetime without undue lumen degradation.  The original metal halide ballasts were remotely installed, and we designed our retrofit to use the existing wiring and to position the LED drivers in the remote location.  After verification, the sample was sent to the client for installation.  The results were astonishing!

The excited client place the order with us.  Production designs were finalized and sent to the factory for the production run.  Final product was delivered to the client in a timely manner and installation was completed, with dramatic results.
